Once they understand that their tactics will not work with you they will rma(with asus that normally means telling them you are going to sue them) so try to rma via retailer as they are normally faster. This build has worked for over a year and it would be awesome to have some troubleshooting tips. Anyways it means that they will be losing money so of course they will try to stop you from exchanging. so i had to RMA it.īrute force your way with them, classic shakedown, the common consumer is wetting themselves when something breaks so managers exploit that. The thing is the manager woulnt agree it was a major fault. I RMA'ed it today, had a bit of an argument too with the shop since their terms and conditions stated and i quote " Upon a major fault the customer is allowed an exchange or refund" other wise return to manufacturer. I tried unplugging everything but i dont get a boot so i have no way to really install drivers. Right so there are a few scratches around the screws on the back side, when i put the mobo in the first time around 8 months ago. I have a few ideas of what the fault could be all in the board but none are easy fixes. When putting board in the first time 8 months ago hasn't moved at all since then.Ĭheck the board very closely to damage, clear cmos and reinstall drivers, try the hdd in another pc and while this has only occured with me once the psu was at fault for some reason that resulted in a issue similar to yours.Īfter looking at your tests i think you dont have a choice by to rma at this point, hopefully asus dont be a chungus about it because I and many others have issues with them, sometimes your retailer will allow an exchange other times asus will want it directly. Got a new motehrboard, added the ram and cpu from mark 1 - all boots. Tried manual boot on asus mark1 with pins and wire - no bootĦ.
